By booking an inspection or using the services of Colorado Automotive Report & Service LLC ("C.A.R.S.," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding.
Scope of Inspection
Vehicle inspections performed by C.A.R.S. are visual and diagnostic assessments conducted on-site at the vehicle's location. Inspections cover the specific items outlined in the selected service tier description. This includes pre-purchase inspections, diagnostic services, second opinion assessments, and any add-on services. Inspections do not include disassembly of vehicle components, extended road testing beyond the immediate vicinity, mechanical repairs, or any modifications to the vehicle. Inspection scope may be limited by vehicle access, seller cooperation, environmental conditions, or safety considerations at the inspector's discretion.
Inspection Reports & Intellectual Property
Inspection reports represent the professional assessment of the inspector based on conditions observed at the time of inspection. Reports are provided for informational purposes to assist in your purchasing decision and are not guarantees, warranties, or certifications of vehicle condition. Conditions may change after the inspection, and some defects may not be detectable through non-invasive methods. All inspection reports, photographs, written assessments, and related materials are the intellectual property of Colorado Automotive Report & Service LLC. You are granted a personal, non-transferable license to use your report for your own vehicle purchasing decision. Reports may not be reproduced, redistributed, published, or used for commercial purposes without prior written consent.
Booking & Cancellation
Inspections are booked through our website intake form or by contacting us directly. Once your appointment is confirmed, that time is reserved exclusively for you. I've already coordinated with the seller, researched the vehicle, and prepared for your inspection. Client cancellations & reschedules: • 24+ hours notice: Free reschedule or cancellation, no questions asked. • Less than 24 hours notice: A $75 rebooking fee applies to cover preparation time already invested. • Same-day cancellation or no-show: The full inspection fee is non-refundable. Preparation, scheduling, and travel may already be underway. Seller-caused cancellations (vehicle sold, seller becomes unresponsive, etc.): • If the vehicle is sold before the inspection can take place, you'll receive a full refund. • For all other seller-caused issues (scheduling changes, access problems), we'll reschedule at no cost. Cancellations by C.A.R.S. (weather, vehicle breakdown, emergency): • The inspection will be rescheduled at no additional cost. If we are unable to reschedule, you'll receive a full refund.
Payment
No payment is required until your appointment is confirmed (meaning the time, location, and seller coordination are all set). Once confirmed, I'll send you a secure Stripe payment link. Payment is typically due before the inspection begins unless otherwise agreed in writing. Prices are as listed on the website at the time of booking and include travel within the Denver metro service area. Additional travel fees may apply for locations outside our standard service area.
Service Area & Access
C.A.R.S. provides mobile inspection services throughout the Denver metro area and surrounding communities. Inspections require reasonable access to the vehicle, including the ability to open doors, hood, and trunk, start the engine, and perform a brief test drive. If the seller fails to provide adequate access, if the vehicle is in an unsafe location, or if conditions prevent a thorough inspection, the inspection may be rescheduled. If a partial inspection is performed due to access or condition limitations, any limitations will be clearly disclosed in the inspection report. C.A.R.S. is not responsible for delays or cancellations caused by seller non-cooperation, vehicle unavailability, severe weather, road closures, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Limitation of Liability
C.A.R.S. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to our inspection services. Our total liability for any claim related to an inspection shall not exceed the fee paid for that specific inspection. We are not responsible for purchasing decisions made based on our reports, for conditions that develop after the inspection, or for pre-existing conditions that were not reasonably detectable through our inspection methods.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Colorado Automotive Report & Service LLC, its owner, agents, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of our services or reports, your purchasing decisions, or your violation of these Terms.
Disclaimers
Our services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that inspections will identify every defect or issue with a vehicle. Inspection reports are professional opinions, not guarantees.
Dispute Resolution
If you have a concern about our services, please contact us directly first. Most issues can be resolved through a conversation. If we cannot reach a resolution informally, both parties agree to attempt mediation before pursuing any legal action. Any disputes that proceed to litigation shall be resolved in the courts of the State of Colorado, Arapahoe County, and governed by the laws of the State of Colorado.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
